Sandhurst is one of our larger chapters. They are a very diverse group both in age and interest. Very recently they celebrated ten years of DBE activities in Colorado. To celebrate this anniversary they gathered at a member's home for a barbeque that concluded with the cutting of an anniversary cake.

To select a feature of Sandhurst would be to highlight their love of a party. Other than their monthly meetings and their own parties members enjoy getting together with their sisters from the other chapters. Their most successful State Christmas party and a Pub Night was evidence of their ability to organize and plan a state wide event. Furthermore it showed that we all like to get together and have fun. In DBE we work hard and play hard! Sandhurst was also a key contributor of the time and effort required to host a luncheon for close to 180 members of DBE from around the USA that came to Denver in May 2005 to attend the National Convention here. The overall chairperson of this important event, Jenny Palmer and the luncheon chairperson, Vicki Turner, are both members of Sandhurst chapter consequently their chapter members were heavily involved in the planning and delivery of this key event at our National Convention. As with all chapters their emphasis as Fall approaches is to contribute their time and talents to our annual Victorian Tea and Bazaar.

Sandhurst meets on the third Tuesday evening of each month. They share information about our State, National, and British Home then go on to plan their own events. Later they socialize while sharing an array of usually British type delicacies washed down with a good cup of tea! Their Regent is Jackie Marshall.
